I offer a comprehensive childbirth class that will support you in your pregnancy, prepare you for labor and birth, and give you a jumpstart on what to expect for your postpartum experience. This class will prepare you with the knowledge you need to decrease anxiety and increase your confidence, letting your body progress! There will be plenty of hands on activities and practice.

Childbirth education is offered in both private and semi-private formats.
Sessions may be scheduled as a series of three 2-hour classes, a series of two 3-hour classes, or as a single 6–7 hour intensive class with built-in breaks.

Topics include:
Pregnancy:
Birth Anatomy, 2nd and 3rd trimester prenatal testing, and end of pregnancy planning & preparation.

Labor & Birth: Fetal position & station, the physiologic process and signs of labor, the stages of labor, comfort measures for managing labor, labor positions, common interventions, and partner guidance.

Postpartum & Newborn: The golden hour and beyond, newborn variations of normal and general care, postpartum recovery and breastfeeding basics.

Bonus: You will leave with a sample birth plan, a hospital bag packing list, a list of book and product recommendations, as well as some local birth professional referrals.

*A certificate of completion is provided for those needing proof of class for a birth center birth.

Pricing

  • Private class: $400

  • Semi-private class (3–4 couples): $250 per couple

A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your class date and is applied toward your total fee.

A group class offers a supportive and interactive learning environment where you can gain valuable knowledge, ask questions, and connect with other families preparing to welcome a new baby. This class is an especially great fit for families with due dates between November 7 and December 5, 2026, as participants will be within the 30–35 week timeframe that I typically recommend for childbirth education.
